I have windows XP home edition.
I had Sound blaster Live 24 bit.
I tried to redownload it but to no avail.
It is a dell desktop!
I hope you guys can help, i am in a rut!!

Oh Dear!! Ok well I have tried everything you have all suggested, other than take my comp to someone! and sadly nothing has worked!
Any other suggestions out there?!?!
Other than that I truly appreciate all your help. Great advice! thanks

Try looking in the recycle bin, If you can't find it there, take it to a tech and have them find it. Hope that helps! :)

You need to reinstall the driver
Reboot your machine
The new hardware wizard should start
Select, install automaticly...choose search my computer
If it doesnt find it
Try search the reboot and choose the seach the internet this time only button. (If you are lucky it will find it, but not likely)
If that doesnt work, hopefully you have the driver disk. If so, choose I will install the drivers manualy button, and then browse for the driver to D: (if that is what your cd rom is) then windows, drivers then click ok
Otherwise you will have to go and find the driver online. Go to Dells site and check out the support area download and drivers...follow the prompts...good luck.

ms(microsoft) has a system restore, just restore to the date BEFORE you delated it and the file should come back, so will the others you delated. But it works!!!

go to DOWLOAD.COM,,and type in AC97,,,that will sort you out ,,contact me,if you have any probs
