But i also beleive if you are stupid enough to go parading around saying you hate everyone then your gonna be screwed over xD

So much confusion over freedom of speech.

YES - people have a right to say anything that doesn't incite a riot ("fire in a crowded building & some hate speech) & isn't libelous. EVEN if it hurts people feelings!

But we also have a right to respond to that person using our own freedom of speech! That means the conservatives have a right to call a radio station & say they will change the station if they ever play a Dixie Chicks album. You may disagree with their use of their freedom of speech, but youcan not accuse them of denying the Dixie Chicks freedom of speech.

Yes, I believe we should be allowed to express any opinion we have, even if it is objectionable to some people, or even most. Isn't that what the Constitution is for, after all, protection from the "Tyranny of the majority?" Every group who has come and settled here have derived benefits from this, even those who now whine about being discriminated against. the fact is, the law these days makes it almost impossible to get rid of someone from a job, or a dwelling, or whatever, if they aren't white. Some claim it's about time for this to be the case, but what they don't understand is that putting the shoe on the other foot doesn't make things right.

No, I get into fights on this all the time. There are limits to freedom of speech.

1. Cannot yell fire in a theater.
2. Cannot commit treason against the country. Liberals do this all the time. What just happened in Congress with this useless nonbinding resolution is a disgrace.

Whatever you believe, then it's your belief.
Say what you gonna say, and how you
gonna say it is all depends on you,
Then your words are enough to know who
you are and what you are.

If all people are like you then you can imagine
what kind of world we live in.

WORDS are powerful weapon to ruin someone
else's life including your life,
so as can be calming and nurturing, and loving
like a medicine to someone dying if you use it right.

I am careful of the word to speak all the time.
and I will continue to speak love rather than hatred..

Thanks . . . .and remember the harvest time..

NOW . . . .
Imagine a scene where yourself is involved
in a crime. You're running from
a bunch of Police who are chasing you, as you're
running for, the commander said shoot,
then you're dead from the power of that word,
what if it says stop, then you've scape the death.

Hang,, then he was hanged.

I think it is all about rationality. Racism is about an irrational hatred of someone or a people based purely on race. It is not about disagreement on issues. it is not about trading petty insults based on one sides deliberate ignorance of the other's point of view. Unfortunately it is turned on it's head and often used as a weapon to try and prove a point so that the victims of 'real' racism are often ignored or over looked. As for freedom of speech I agree with it, but I also believe in consideration for others. For example if I don't agree with prostitution I'm not going to walk into a brothel! Yet at the same time I wouldn't want it 'thrust' in my face (for want of a better phrase) It is about respecting different points of view, but at the same time there are core values of right, wrong and basic respect for myself and others that transcends all racial, ethnic, religious and social differences!

I completely agree with you. you have the right to say or do anything you want, but you are forced to pay the consequences of your actions. I think a man has the right to believe that another man is inferior to himself for any reason even if it is rational or not.

1st amendment has many set limits though...

Derogatory language is one of them... It disrupts others... if you are cussing your self out it is fine, but if you say it to someone else, it can be considered harassment...

Symbolic speech.. ex: burning the flag... You can burn the flag... but you must have a good reason for it... but if you go out in public with a lighter and flag and do it in front of everyone.. you can be considered dangerous.. and you can be considered under the part that mentioned "provokes violence"...

and if you dont like the limits set forth... then go live somewhere else.. you have more freedoms here in the USA than any other country... be happy...
