Magic eraser, trust me it will do wonders, I didn't believe it until I tried one for myself. There was a black stain in the tub that I tried everything under the sun to get it out. Finally tried the eraser and it took it right out.Be sure to buy extra ones because they melt away fast. But they are worth it.

What kind of Sink is it? Is it Metal? Porceline? Specifics are good. If it's Metal, then likely they're etched into the metal and will be very difficult if not impossible to remove. If it's porceline, it' could be deeply stained, but not impossible to remove. Either way you can use CLR, but on a metal sink, you'll need to be careful as it could cause furthor damage. I'd try soft scrub or comet for a porceline sink, but caution there as you cuold dull the finish. letting it sit for a while might be able to leech the stain out. is the Stain in the surface or ON the surface. on the surface, a razor blade might work to remove it, but be very careful not to cut yourself.

It honestly doesn't hurt to use CLR or any chemical agent like that. Just please be careful which chemicals mix. Most are ok except amonia and bleach. If you really want to get it out try a foaming substance....Scrubbing Bubbles works well for this. Some may suggest just diluted bleach. This does work sometimes but the fumes and the clothes stains are just not worth it. A good abrasive like salt can really work fast too...don't add water til you are done.

You can always try filling up your sink with water and as it is filling, up pour some bleach straight into the sink. I do this a lot and fill it all the way to the top and let it sit for an hour or so. You will have the prettiest sink ever.

you could try comet and if this dont work then try the Magic Eraser. I think what might be in your sink may be some kind of mold, this was in the house that we moved into. I like to have never got rid of it but I finally did.

Use Comet. It has bleach and it's an abrasive powder. It's GREAT for sinks and tubs. It will take it RIGHT off.

Comet may scratch and leave worse marks. I would try SoftScrub first. If it doesnt work, try comet. You can wash glass that has water marks with SoftScrub. The stuff is amazing.

if it is a metal sink - go to the autoparts store and get some chrome cleaner (no I am not kidding) ie: Master Formula- Metal Gloss -- works wonders on stainless steel.

I use straight bleach with the plug in and let it soak for a dew minutes. Then I scour it. Works great.
