im almost 15 y/o, and during decembe and january i sent some applications to wilhelmina, ford, elite, next, fusion, boss, etc. i just did it for fun, because i never taught they would hired a 14 y/o. so after 2 weeks amost all the agencies called me, and they told me that they were interested in me, so i went with my mom to NYC. All of the agencies wanted me, but i decided for wilhelmina. but i need to leave california and go to NYC, and im not to sure about that. they say i have alot of potential, and during this olympus fasion week i was in about 7 to 9 runways, and thats a lot for a ''new'' face. i love being a model, and meeting celebrities, top designers and even supermodels. i need to decide this week, and if i go to NYC i will be home school. i dont really know what to do, please help me!!!

i think if you love it and are willing to balance your school work along with your modeling, go for it. Just make sure that you keep up with your schooling, because if modeling doesn't work out, you don't want to be left with nothing.

14 is way too young to be making decisions that affect your whole future! If you have so much potential then wait another 2 years, you will still have it at 16, plus you'll have a bit more maturity to go with it. I didn't think that any reputable agency would hire 14 year olds anyway. Stay at school but take advantage of any one-off opportunities that may come along and that don't compromise your school work - and always take your mother with you!

I would finish school first, then go to modeling. Education is really important. What if modeling doesn't work out for you, what are you going 2 do for a job?? Your really young, so don't going making stupid choices, think about for a while, think about your future, is this really what you want 2 do? What if it doesn't work ? Like i said, I would finish school, then go to modeling. By then you may want a different career. Besides, if almost all the agencies called you, and your really what they are looking for, cant they wait 5 years? come back to modeling AFTER school !! Even if you don't agree with me, and decide to model instead, i hope i helped, and hope your happy with whatever decision you make.

I would only leave traditional school if it was my dream in life to model. I would never give up school entirely that would be a foolish mistake where ever you are and whatever you are doing you can always do home studies courses whether it the kind you report to a teacher for once a week or once a month or the kind where you just have your parent or legal guardian sign off on and mail in so there's no reason you should have to give up school.

well as an ex-model...i'd tell you dont believe the hype...many times at the begining its all bells and whistles and then the business can slowly drop down..they are just putting you out there to get responses...and no...rarely are you told the truth...i worked with elite in chicago...and suzan's -a-plus as well...

its fun...but its fast paced...soon you will have some form of eating disorder and be involved in drugs...its not a prediction...its a certainty...

so i guess its a matter of "do you have any other kind of potential"...if your smart, and studious, and able to apply yourself..you'll be happier in a line of work...where as you get older you get more sought after and have a growing reputation...as opposed to a model's career, where every year you get older, after about 22 there are less and less opportunities out there for you...and in the end...all the feelings of greatness and superiority you have are stripped away from you and you are left a lil empty and hurt.

Ha ha! NO!!!! You are only 15 which if a modeling agency wants you then you must still be very skinny like a little kid (props to you for a cute face tho). As you get older your gonna get fatter and they won't need you anymore and your going to wish you finished school. In other words grow up and don't be stupid.

in my oppinion, if you truly want to then do it, but dont only think about the positives, think negatively, because 9 times out of 10 the negatives are gonna happen. if you truly want to pursue this for the rest of your life do it, but you never know, u could get in a carcrash, something could happen to ur looks, and then what would u do? its your call but education isnt such a risky business..

Looks fade, education is forever. At the moment, it appears you cannot write a proper coherent sentence. Stay in school until you have learned at least that much.

if your story were even true, im pretty sure you would have a picture of yourself in your little avatar thingy so doubt it

but hey go to new york in your imaginary world and then let us know when you are on the cover of vogue so we can all run out and buy it

I would. But I'd still keep my education coming as much as possible. Hey, if that's your passion then go for it, give it a try, chances don't wait to be grabbed
