I just got confirmed last`night and some people wore black...but they didnt wear straight black...they wore color with it....I wore a black skirt and a red and black top...it didnt look so dark because our stoles (sp) were white.
But I think its alright...I dont think the priests/arch bishop really cared....but if you do get a black dress get like a diffrent color assesory (sp) Like red braclets or something. and you can get a little colored sweater (not what old people wear) thing or somethin.
Good luck finding something and congrats on getting confirmed....trust me when you walk down that isle...you feel really speacial....and if the knights are there...its so awesome!

i think it fine i am getting confirmed in 1 day and i am wearing a black dress. if you can, put some color into it like a blue or white jean jacket and nude heels or if you don't prefer heels flats or something nice. i want to wear jeans and a nice top but my mother is making me wear this dress and heels and jewelry and its not my style so this isn't gonna be a pretty night. i can't even walk in heels…its bad! but i would go with wedges if you are going to have a after party outside because the heels would stink into the grass. i walked outside and tripped because the heel went straight into the grass, it was hilarious but if its inside then heels are perfect.

No. Avoid it if you can. It is preferable to wear a white shirt and black skirt, as an alternative. You can wear black tights and shoes if you wish.

You probaly could but unless you want to be stared at then you shouldn't. Just stick with the old traditional white dress.

depends on ur church, but usually no. white is best, or a very light pastel... black is more of a mourning or pagan color..
