You need to get in touch with your local and state law enforcement agencies. I know what it's like to be short on funds around rent time. It really sucks. I believe that there is something like 30 days of eviction warning before it is enforced.
Good luck.........

Don't know if you are in the UK or not. Can't answer for other countries but here goes:
In the UK you have to have a tenancy agreement which shows the period of notice to quit (NTQ). The exact length of time depends on what sort of tenancy you have. Even if there is no written agreement the landlord still has to give you notice.
The landlord must serve you NTQ in writing and state the reason. Only when the period of notice has run out can he then go to court to get an eviction order - he cannot legally evict you without one.
If you are in rent arrears the court will most likely suspend the eviction provided you make an agreement to pay them off. If you keep to the agreement no further action will be taken.
I suggest you contact the Citizens' Advice Bureau pronto, also get onto your Law Centre for legal representation if it does go to court.
If the landlord tries to evict you without a court order, or threatens and/or harasses you in any way, CALL THE POLICE - he is committing a crime.
If your landlord knows that you know you have the law on your side chances are he will back down anyway.
Good Luck!

There are different laws for each state. Though I don't think that any state would allow for what you are talking about. I know that in the state that I live in that they have to give you written notice before they can evict you. They also have to go through the courts. If you have not been served any court papers I highly doubt that what your landlord is trying to do is legal. I would try calling legal aid or your local housing authority. They should be able to help you more than the people here can.I hope that this helps.

This all depends on where you live and how long it's been since you've made a rent payment. In some places it takes over a month to evict you. In Texas, they can padlock your apartment within a week of you missing your rent payment.
Since it's FEBRUARY, and they would be putting you out in the cold, that should work in your favor. Make the calls others have suggested, but also call your local news channels to see if they would be interested in publicizing this person's actions.
Good luck.

First of all ...all your landlord can do is start the legal eviction process. This can actually take months. He cannot just come into the home and physically kick you out.
You need to get off of Y!A and get a hold of The Fair Housing Authority. They should be able to tell you what rights you have. The other thing you might do is get a hold of Red Cross.....The Salvation Army...see if they have any way of helping you out of this situation...make it clear to all of them that you are disabled.
Please call right away...your local human resource department may be able to help you as well.

I would call the local police and pose this question to them as a hypothetical but I do know that here in Orlando FL, they can begin eviction proceedings but that it can take MONTHS not only 5hours to evict someone.

Get on the phone to a tenants' advocacy organization in your area so that they can let you know what the landlord/tenant laws are if you don' t know. Tell them the situation.
The problem is that you didn't say where you live so the people who live near you cannot give more specific answers.

must be a ghetto position of living. The noise of the water in the former pipes must be traumatic people. you need to be in a position to run it yet he's your landlord so that you need to take heed to him. That suggested people weren't meant to do laundry after 9pm. yet we were the position of living next to the laundry room and persons did all of it the time yet i did not supply a **** cuz i could not even listen it and that i did mine that previous due too lolol

eviction takes time. Unless you have been served an eviction notice with a date to vacate then don't worry too much.
