The LCD screen is not working. Anyone have any issues?

Battery and display problems can be a common problem, especially with Motorola phones. I've also heard bad comments about the Chocolate phone. I can't really help you since I now have a Samsung SCH-a870 from Verizon, and until recently had a Sanyo SCP-6200 from Sprint. My suggestion would be to go to a library and ask for a copy of the January 2007 issue of Consumer Reports. It has articles rating phones and plans. You should be able to find all you need to know about the slider and Cingular.
I do recommend you do this. If you discover there is a problem with the phone, you can take it back and get a replacement. If you wait too long, you'll be stuck with it.

I had the same problem. I called them but they didn't respond. But luckily, I had the warrranty still going so I got it replaced. =)
