I just wanted to find information from others who have or know about this particular laptop? I heard that Dell isn't all that great so tell me what you think. Thanks!

Does this laptop last along time? I'm the type that keeps my electronics clean so I dont think it would be a problem? but I really want something that will last.

Will I need to buy some type of wireless card or does it come with it? or can I just use my wireless adapter that I plug into one of the USB that goes with my wireless router?

this is a pretty good laptop due to the AMD Turion TL-56 processor what is a fast one.
the wireless card is already built in, it's of the type 802.11b/g the common standard nowadays.

a suggestion:
in case you travel a lot with the laptop (also for school) you should upgrade the battery to 85WHr 9-cell, this is very useful for a longer on-time. all other parts can be ordered as they are.

durability:
you can never tell how long it will last. my Dell laptop lasted for 5 and a half year (this is quite long for a laptop).

Likely more of a computer than you'll ever need. It's a dual core with a gig of ram. A good deal for what it is, but unless you're a power user you'll be better off searching ebay for a $4-500 laptop.

All DVD players should have 5 chances to set its regions, meaning if you are in the UK, playing US DVD would kick in the message that you need to set the region to 1 (US), and it should stay enforced until you play DVD from another region, but you can only do this for another 4 times, the 5th time you set this, it will be locked to the last region. There are software you can get to make the drive region free.

I have one and it's great. Wireless works well and the dual core processor is nice also.

Don't listen to RADD CHRISTIAN. He's a 14 year old kid.
