yeah you can stop it!

Press Start - Run - type in msconfig- click on startup - scroll down untill you find AIM and uncheck it - press apply and reboot your pc!

Enjoy

Mine did that, too -very annoying!

On the AIM IM window, click "edit"

When the window opens up, click on "Sign In/Sign Out"on the side menu on left. Click on "Minimize to system tray,do not sign in"

Then you should just be able to Find it in your program list to activate it. Make sure you delete the desktop icon (right click on it and select delete). This will only delete the icon.

Yes, by default it starts with Windows. There should be a menu in AIM somewhere where you can turn that off.

yes it does... and to stop it

>Start
>>Run
>>>"msconfig"
Click the startup tab

scan through the list until you find aim

uncheck it click apply then ok and restart

once its restarted click the box that pops up (NEVER SHOW THIS MESSAGE AGAIN)

and that will take care of it starting at start up.
