Yes i do think it would be better other developed countries realise the urgent need for cutting down on CO2 emissions and are at least doing something ,even if its not enough. America seems to be in denial

Yes. He certainly should be focusing on the US, who is not only the biggest contributor, but the least accepting of the science. But he did do a lot of environmental work while VP and he had a strong Presidency campaign with the environment. He might had just got frustrated with the US not listening to him.
