The most recent downing of an American helicopter in Iraq was found to have been a victim of mechanical failure rather than an insurgent's missile, should we rejoice because they didn't get it done this time, even though we mourn the loss of 8 more American lives?

I don't think ANY loss of an American during war is something to "rejoice" about, no matter what the circumstances are.

we should never rejoice in the destruction of government property, you'd only be making a fool of yourself, since we are the ones paying for the damn things.

i think that instead of rejoicing, we should check ot make sure this won't be a recurring problem.

the "bad guys" didn't get them, but those are still lost lives.

We mourn the loss of lives, but we are glad that their deaths were not caused by the hate/fear of other human beings.
People are born, they live, then die....we can't stop that from happening; but what we can prevent as people is murder/homocide...by not doing it. So....I hate that they died, but I'm glad they weren't murdered.
