I want to stick it on my computer, but it said something about a contract with Intel, only if you had a contract with Intel you can use that sticker, is that right?

It dosen't really matter if you stick the sticker on, as long as you actually have that processor in the computer, I don't think. You are referring to the one that says Intel Pentium 4 HT or something like that, right?

I don't see why you can't use it on your own computer. It's not like Intel can see who is using the sticker and they likely will not track you down because of the sticker.
Now if you were reselling the computers you built that might be a different story.

If you built it yourself the sticker isn't important either way -- stick it on or leave it off. Intel wants dealers with contracts to use the stickers for warranty reasons. Non-contract dealers technically aren't supposed to use the stickers.

Why else would they put a sticker in the processor package.... if not to stick it on something? If it carries an Intel processor, what's wrong with sticking it on the case? I say stick away, I don't see how you are breaking any laws, especially if it's your PC and you aren't selling it.

when you bought the processor you also paid for the right to display it on the case. they like it when you advertise for free for them when your friends come over to ooooh and aaaahhh over it.
