I been trying to get pregnant for only 4 weeks now.My periods are 5 days long, which is considered normal, but my cycles are 55-62 days long which is far from normal. Is it possible that I could still be ovulating at all and when?I been taking my basal temperature every morning and cervix mucus but there's no sign of ovulation. I been having sex every 2 days for four weeks. Can anyone help me figure this out? Could I be ovulating at all during my cycle?

I would say your doing everything right. The only other thing I would suggest is buying an ovulation predictor kit/tests. "Answers" are cheap and can help you. You normally ovulate 14 days before your next period. If things stay this way i would call your GYN and schedule an appointment. I have also heard that black cohosh regulates cycles. http://nccam.nih.gov/health/blackcohosh/

Good luck!

Ovulation is different for each women. I have a 30 day cycle and I usually ovulate on day 16. Which is right in the middle of my cylce. Count the 1st day of your period as day one and count to the exact middle day. So for example if your sycle was 55 the month before then count out 27 days. It will happen. Just have fun with it. Do not get up right away. You are ovulating. You only really ovulate for 12-24 hours. Just because you are not getting the temp. reading doesn't mean you are not ovulation. You have about a 20 percent chance of getting pregnant each month. Good luck!

55-62 days is a very long cycle. Sometimes long cycles are normal, but sometimes they can indicate other health problems like PCOS or thyroid concerns. For most people, ovulation occurs ten to sixteen days before menstruation, so if your cycles are healthy and normal, it just may be too early to see ovulation yet, but if they're not healthy, normal cycles, you may not be ovulating. You'll know more after you chart your cycle this month.

If you haven't already had a pre-conception visit with a health care provider, it's a god idea to have one. You can mention your concerns about long cycles to him or her, and consider testing for other health problems if necessary.
