200 years, humanity will either be in a condition of supreme power and wiseness, or it will no longer exist. The United States of America will continue to exist, only if humanity still exists. In truth, the power of the United States does not come from the individual power of the states, but rather the value of the citizens of those states. I believe that the states will still be united, however, that is if humanity has been able to live that long.

The Answer is Yes and No. Will the USA be the leading superpower. No, not in 200 years. we already see China making the Transition to take over the super power role. They're only one problem that is they rely on jobs for their people from other countries like the US that will pay the chinese worker .25 a day. So it will take them some time. We will still be one nation and we will exist.

Far from splitting up, the some countries might ask to join the United States. I hope we respectfully decline the offer. Who needs Puerto Rico or Cuba?
The USA would not find it advantageous to split up. How would anything get accomplished? Would you need a passport to go from Kentucky to Illinois? Would you pay for roaming charges on your phone everytime you crossed a former state line? How about a multitude of different currencies? How would a Post Office function? Would New York defend the east coast while California defends the west coast?

America will still exist and will more than likely still be the most powerful nation on earth. There will be multiple superpowers in 200 years but America will always be the Hyper power.

I hope the people aren't dumb enough then to let that happen. We need the entire country united to be great.
However, as someone has said above, the world will probably not exist in 200 yrs.
