IQ is measured by essentially "book smarts" some of the smartest people I have ever met had "natural intelligence" not learned intelligence. Inherent in any education given by a single individual is some brainwashing. The human animal cannot help but bring their own internal bias to any teachings. I want a freer thinker than that.
My grandfather was one of the smartest men I have ever met, he left school in the 3rd grade to go to work in the Public Works Project during the Depression to feed his mother and 8 siblings. He never had the benefit of a formal education but he was a great leader of men, made millions of dollars and sent his kids to college. I myself have a 148 IQ and know damn well I couldn't run this country. Not that I am defending the President's intelligence, but he has surrounded himself with brilliant people, that is part of being a leader. Like them or not Dick Cheney and Donald Rumsfeld and Karl Rove are brilliant men. And Condi Rice is very well educated and intelligent. That is a what a President does. It doesn't take a genius to run a country just a leader.
I am a conservative and I don't worship at anyone's feet I choose a President who most resembles my way of thinking and that is not John Kerry or Al Gore or Hillary Clinton, see I love my country and that is diametrically opposed to how they view it.
Thanks for further trying to divide my country.

Kind of a pompous statement from someone who can't ask a question correctly! I read that President Bush had a higher IQ than did John Kerry and he did go to Yale. President Reagan accomplished many great things during his administration and stood up for America when it was down thanks in large part to Jimmy Carter when American morale was really low. He made it feel good again to be patriotic and by telling the Soviet Premiere to tear down that wall effectively ending communism. The Republican candidates out there today are most certainly intelligent as well so I guess you have nothing better to do than to try and put down the Republicans and name calling etc, so boring!

Read your question? hummm.... dumb
History says different of Reagan & George Bush. I think history will not be kind to the critical of President George W Bush either.
He did manage to get himself elected not once but twice so how dumb can he be. Add that to his Harvard & Yale degree.
Dumb is to vote for a war & then do everything you can to make it fail. Congress & the House have done this. President Bush has tried to find solutions to problems with Iraq. President Bush has stood with his convictions but many Democrats incl. Hillary, Kerry, Reid have voted one way & blamed everyone else for their vote. They have not suggested any way to win Iraq or even remove our troops without major causalties. Who did you say was dumb again?

Care to link to your source for the low IQ assertion? I know there was a phony internet email going around about presidential IQ's that was even carried by one or two liberal publications that snopes.com discredited. Carter certainly wasn't rocket science material and you libbies put up a candidate that did worse in college than the man you claim is an idiot.

Bush and Quayle both had above average IQ's. Don't know about Ronny. Clinton had a 160 and i have to say all those smarts came in handy to cover up crimes, rapes, and perjury charges.

Judging by the people they ran against the republicans were geniuses compared to the failures the democrats ran those years.
