I don't think it's too early for a sonogram. Especially if you are unsure about your last period. I've never heard that this was risky to the baby. The pulling sensation was actually the first the I noticed in my first pregnancy, and it came and went, sometimes dull, sometimes sharper, side to side. (one side sometimes more than the other.) That was my only real symptom early on. Don't worry! And congratulations!

Don't worry, every pregnancy is different - some women do have many "symptoms" such as dizziness, throwing up, feeling very tired, etc. while others don't feel any different at all. This is all normal. I'm pregnant with my second baby right now and I never threw up, not with my first and not with this one neiter.
And your concern about the sonogram: It is not too early, only if you expect to see a baby already which moves around already. You probably just see the tiny sack with the embryo in it (which will look like a little "bean"). :) By week 7 you will see the heartbeat in the sonogram.
Good luck and congratulations on your pregnancy!!! ;)

no its not to early im on my 4th child ( 8 weeks 5 days). I had my sonogram 2weeks ago. many doctors do it early in the pregnacy to get a more accurate due date. I had and have the same pulling sensation its only your body adjusting to the baby. You just wait till your in the 7-9 month you will really feel pulling and stretching.

I felt that pulling sensation with my first pregnancy, but not with my second. What other symptoms you have all depends on you. If you don't get morning sickness (I did with #1 but not with #2), count yourself lucky. The only thing they'll see on ultrasound at 5 weeks is an egg sac. Not very exciting. If they wait til at least 8-9 weeks, they'll be able to see a heartbeat.

The pulling sensations are ligaments and your uterus starting to stretch to accommodate your baby. When I first found out I was pregnant the Dr. ordered a sonogram to determine fetal age, that's probably what yours is too. You're lucky you don't have nausea and all of that, it doesn't mean you won't though. You'll start to have lots of symptoms soon, the best one being when you feel the baby kick for the first time!

no. you may not experience anymore symptoms. some people may be vomiting a lot now and some people may never get any symptoms at all. everyone is different.
question #2: it does seem a little early for that, but the nurse just wants to hear for heartbeat. sometimes they can hear a heartbeat this early on and sometimes they can't. if they don't hear it now, they should hear it at your next appointment. ......(personal experience)
