ice them, tape them and make sure ur really warmed up for the game. soreness u should be able to play with no problems once ur warm. sprains depending on the severity, maybe or probably not. hopefully, thats not the case for u.
be careful though...ankles can take either a short or long time to heal. good luck!

When you say pain, do you mean soreness. Or a sprain?
When I'm sore, I'll take ibuprofen. Before each practic or game, make sure you stretch. I'll do ankle rolls specifically for my ankles. And stretch my calves and Achilles tendon. Stand on some stairs or a curb with your toes. Hang your heels down and feel the stretch.
If it's a sprain, that's something different. You'll have to heal first. RICE is the acronym. R=rest, I=ice, C=compress (ace bandage), E=elevate (on a few pillows or a chair above your heart). You can try taping your ankle too before you play, but use athletic tape. Or have someone that knows how to tape an ankle, or you might do more harm than good.

First ice on 20 minute, ice off, ice on, then ice off for 40 minutes max. Where ankle braces in the game and rest as much as you can before the game. Take tylenol or ibeprophen a little before the game. Also try spelling the alphebet with your ankle. Make sure you strech good and the rest is mental. I have foot problems and if I get really into the game I forget about. Don't complain about them and make excuses just try to not let it affect you.

First off tonight don't walk on them that much. Keep them elevated and ice them.
When you play tomorrow go to the trainer if there is one get them wrapped or wear those ankle straps. I also do not suggest using a pain relieving cream such as icy hot, if you hurt your ankle even more you will not feel the pain causing more injury.
After this game if you have to play I suggest seeing a doctor asap. You do not want to hurt your ankles even more and not be able to play soccer for a while.

stretch for a long time haha like yoga kinda stretching very light but for a decent amount of time to relax your muscles and like was said hot shower and any ibuprofen will help stretch quadriceps and hamstrings most definitely i ran a marathon in february and I was still able to go out the same day after stretching, mind you I was not terribly comfortable but i was well enough to go out good luck and have fun at the party :] be careful cheers, jake

well if they're swelling then you should stick your feet in ice cold water but if they're just tense you should stick them in hot water.
