my friend said she got a virus from myspace but i have had mine longer than her and mine is fine

If you are asked to download certain software to view a profile. DON'T that is where the virus is. The virus is not part of MySpace, just linked with certain "adult profiles" which there is supposed to be no adult content on MySpace anyway. MySpace is as safe as Yahoo you just gotta know how to be careful.

Myspace is a virus that makes people become unsocial. Go find some real people. It's better to have one good friend then a million people you've collected on that anti-social network.

I'm not sure. I think you're thinking about all the random ads coming from people legitmate myspace accounts.
If so it's because myspace is easily hackable with cross site scripting and the fact that myspace sends your login in, in plain text over the internet.

It has a thing called spyware from all the ads. You get it each time you log on it gradualy slows down your computer. There is a way to delete it; by downloading AVG anti-spyware. I haven't heard of it having any virus though although whatda I know?

Yea i think it does, I had it and had a lot of problems with my computer. I had to hire a guy to fix it, he told me not to use it(myspace), so I deleted it all, and i haven't had a problem since.

My Space not only spread viruses and wreckes your computer it also has some bad people on it.
