Democrats arent saying lets pull out.
Republicans are saying anything against this current presidents plan wont work!

What this reallyamounts to is Republicans trying to stick to the same plans that have failed, so what Democrats want to do is try a new plan that means REDEPLOYMENT, not recall.

Democrats have merely pushed a we support the troops dont support a surge to this current plan.

Theres no legislation right now being argued that is asking for a complete withdrawal. This is Republicans adding worst case scenario us or them this or that type ultimatum to everyone.

Where its a matter of RE-DEPLOYMENT for our troops. Not a withdrawal.
So, until bills are introduced that clearly state a withdrawal, why is everyone making a fuss about it all.

Is it because republicans want their cake and eat it to?
Is it because rebuplicans are rousingt he public into thinking that democrats merely want to destabalize the region?

All democrats have said is they do not want to gamble on this Maliki president, and need to have benchmarks given if another try is granted to his governemnet that has failed to take actions needed.

So republicans, by not adding benchmarks with clear ultimatums, you cant expect this 4th surge to reallywork can you?

Lets work together -- and stop relying on this iraq government and start workign together for whats best for america, our troops!!!

Why are republicans making it so difficult?

Leogirl thanks for proving how close inded republicans are.
REDEPLOYMENT could mean to move them to a safe coalition concentrated portion of the country, ready to neutralize any drastic threats that may arise -- but out of immediate harms way.

Thank you for showing just how smart you are, or arent

I agree with your assessment. I believe some of the people who accuse the Democrats of wanting to "pull out" honestly believe that, because of where they've been getting their news or because they already want to see the Democrats as bad guys, and this matches their view. I think the more educated people who say that are playing a politics game--if they pretend it's that simple, then they think it validates their own position.

Have really not been paying attention. The Democrats do want a pull out. They want the pulled out soldiers deployed somewhere else. The problem is we won the war in Iraq to pull out now would mean our allies (the Iraqi people) would be killed and or replaced be terrorist insurgents.Did you forget that the Iraqi people executed Saddam , who was an evil dictator that we removed from power. How can that not be a victory.

During the Nuremburg war crimes trials Hitler's propaganda minister said "Voice or no voice, the people canalways be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism, and exposing the country to greater danger". This may explain the philosophy of the Administration and their followers fit right in.

Do you understand what redeployment means? That means taking the troops out and putting them else where. No wonder Democrats won, their constituents are so easily led.
