Why are we (non-celebrities) so fascinated with celebrity lives? We don't know these people personally and what they do does not affect our everyday lives in the least. And yet we spend millions of dollars purchasing magazines that fill us in on the latest celeb gossip and who-screwed-who, who broke up the others family etc. Are our own lives so pointless and insignificant that we have to entertain ourselves with the lives of people whom we will never meet?

I'm not fascinated with celebrities. I like movies and music sure it would be cool to maybe meet one of them somewhere but I don't buy the magazines. I don't care who sleeps with who. I have too much going in in my life to worry about what someone I don't even know has going on in theirs.

Escapism plain and simple. Not that my life is any less interesting but it is just so entertaining to read about these people who have everything and still have f u c k e d up lives.

Because There more interesting, exciting, and I guess we live out our dreams in them.
