heck yeah man....that team was sick and could kill any other team, provided they play some form of defense, which did not happen in that game.

No, that's the problem. The US team thinks they are playing an all star game when they're playing internationally. Which is no defense, no passing, and try to run as much as possible. They need to take two or three big name stars and fill in the rest with defensive and role players, then they might get out of the funk.

i think the problem the USA has had in international play is that everyone is worried about just having the status of being on the team and they worry about their individual performance...instead of making that extra pass or pick they take that tough shot which in the end makes us look stupid because we lose to Greece...

the US would dominate everybody if they could just learn to play as a team...

they could. but what it comes down to is team play. or basically who actually wants to play.

in most countries its an honor to play for and represent ur country. not the case here as far as US basketball goes. it either cuts into their leisure time, theyre afraid of terrrorism, or the committee doesnt want them to be a part of the team.

the last team where everyone actualy wanted to play for the US team was the original dream team in 92'.

NO for two main reaons. First off they gave up 123 points, not gonna cut it in real compettiton. SEcond off, they don't play real team ball, a nessicity for international success.
