It will really depend on how much he is affected by injuries in the next few years, and it will also depend on whether he stays with Barcelona or get tempted by a larger offer else where. If for some strange reason (most likely to be money), he moves to a club like Chelsea, then his development could very well go backwards.
But definitely Ronaldinho for now.

Ronaldinho no question about it. But as he begins to grow old, Messi will indeed steal the spotlight as he will become one of the key players of Barca IF he develops properly and doesn't become hard headed. But I believe that with the veterans at Barca he will develop just fine.
Its easy for Walcott because he's got people like Henry and Wenger to help him develop into a mature player...but time will tell. Also, LOOK OUT FOR GIO DOS SANTOS....up and coming young player in the Barca academy. He has been compared to Ronaldinho already...so I'm hoping to see him soon playing for Barca and maybe Mexico.

Messi is good, but Ronaldinho is better at the moment... he just has more experience. But you never know, Messi might just be tomorrow's toughest!

a million. He has the potential and could honestly be on correct of the international. so some distance he has verified to be the most ideal at club aspect(alright to disagree with me, yet inspect his stats and they evidently grow to be data). he's yet to illustrate that at international aspect at the same time as he performs for his NT. If he needs to be international maximum ideal participant or GOAT(mind-blowing of all situations), then he needs to win the WC cup no longer one, yet more beneficial than one. Maradona had in trouble-free terms one, yet his legacy is the way he gained the WC almost unmarried handedly. Messi needs to do more beneficial advantageous than that, which he has no longer in 2 WCs he has performed. 2. If Messi can accomplish prevailing 2 WCs in his occupation and keep taking area in and scoring the way he has in the present day, there is not any one to end him nor Pele can say some thing about him. for sure Pele will not in any respect say solid about Argentine gamers and that is their competition. at present, Pele continues to be the king. Maradona comes second because of his WC identify else Zico would were there. So having watched Pele, Zico, Maradona, Messi play their football - if Messi can repeat his club performances on NT - who's there to end him. no one. till that, he's basically yet another tremendous participant no longer to have gained the WC identify. I desire he wins a pair titles.

MESSI IS GOOD BUT HE IS A FAR WAY AWAY FROM BEEN THE BEST IN THE WORLD AND I THINK PEOPLE SHOULD STOP COMPARIN ALL THESE YOUNG ARGENTINE SOCCER PLAYERS AS THE NEXT MARADONNA, THERE WILL NEVER BE ANOTHER AS GREAT AS HIM IT IS AFFECTING THESE YOUNG SOCEER PLAYERS AND MESSI IS THE BIGGEST ONE TO BE DISTRACTED BY THIS COMPARISSON AND IT SHOWED IN THE WORLDCUP
