Alright so i'm 20 years old and i'm looking to move to the seattle coming from the east coast with my partner. I dont have a college education but she does. I want to go to a trade school and get an associates degree. Not sure exactly what field i want to work in yet. My partner and I have been together for over a year. I feel confident that our relationship will stay strong as it is now. When ever i talk to my friends/family about my plans not many see it being a good idea. My partner is a college grad and is stressed about finding a job. I will be looking to work and soon attend school. Does it just seem like i'm day dreaming cause i really want this to happen but when it comes down to it will it work out just because i want it to? I just wish people would take me seriously...Any advice...

I will most likely have a job right away and she will most likely have a job by the time we are planning to go (july). So its just really rocky right now as far as plans go. despite that i still really want to go

If she is the one with a college degree, and has no job lined up, why are you moving? It could be a tough move if neither of you will have income once you're there.

Re-evaluate all the reasons, all the outcomes you anticipate from this move. Are they realistic? What happens if X,Y or Z don't pan out?

If you'd like to move, welcome to Seattle.

But what would you do if both of you have no job? There is no heaven place if there is no money.

It will work only if you REALLY want it to work. Best of luck!!
