What are the facts? If they were the only 4 people at the party then probably they shouldn't play.

I know this is probably going to get some heat but I have to ask, why in the HELL was a 12 year old girl passed out drunk at a party? This is where it started. Who ever took this girl there should get arrested as well. Even a 16-18 year should know better than to serve a drink to a 12 year old??? Not saying that at a 16-18 year old should be drinking anyway......but you know... Very sad.

I think they should be allowed to play until more details arise. JUst because they were accused does not mean they did it. THey shouldn't be allowed to play for a few games for going to a party like that. If more deatils come up that may hint they are guilty, they should be suspended. But remeber the Duke case whne the season was cancelled and the boys were suspended form school when the evidence prooved nothibng was done wrong.

no...they should not. they should be placed on the bench while the investigation moves forward. this is very serious and should be treated as such. if they did nothing, they will be absolved and missing a few games of basketball is much less important than making sure the right thing is done moving forward. God...that poor girl.

I am not aware of this problem. Did they have sex with her and called it consentual? If so, they need to not play. If they say they did nothing at all, they should play until an investigation shows they did it.
I would appriciate someone emailing me the info and the town where it happened. Or maybe just the names and I will follow up.

I thought people were innocent until PROVEN guilty? I don't know the circumstances, but I also know that kids at times can make up a lot of stories. If they are guilty, they should be punished severly.

If they are the best players on the team than yes. Everyone knows basketball comes first.

probably not- but then again, it really depends on how well you think those people are handling the situation, if they feel any sorrow (for what they did, not because they're getting in trouble), and, of course, how well they play the game. a person(s) like that might be the kind of guys that would foul like crazy and get themselves kicked outta the game consequently giving your school a bad rep.

i think they should...innocent until proven guilty...

what if they go to trial and they are found innocent...now they just lost an entire basketball season which could prove costly for upperclassmen trying to get into college on a scholarship...

i think you have to let them play until the real verdict comes back...

not only should they be suspended for the rest of the season but also suspended from school. its just irresponsible for someone that has a posibility to do something that could ruin their lives
