I like the name Madelyn....what do you think?

ps. the last name would be Houston, pronounced HOUSE-TON.

if you have any other suggestions let me know, also..whats a good middle name?

I like Madelyn, but I've seen a ton of them lately. I think that people are turning to it as an alternative to Madison, which has become way too common. (It has been in the top ten names for girls for the last nine years, and has spent the last six years as either number two or number three.) Name popularity tends to vary by region, though. Maybe there isn't a Madelyn craze in your area.

Popularity aside, I think it's a very pretty name. As for a middle name, I would probably pair it with your mom's name. That gives it meaning, and makes it special.

I like Madeline or Madelyn but it kind of rhymes with Houseton a little bit.

Don't worry, you don't have to choose a different name, just add a very different, but middle name with it so that everything flows and its not a mouthful.

The names together, Madelyn Houston have a cute singsong quality to them. I think they are cute together. She can also be Maddy when she is little.

As for middle names...I'm not really sure... for some reason this popped into my head, Madelyn Amber Houston. I think it would have to be 2 syllables... and a lot goes well between the two.

I think Madelyn Houseton has a ring to it. But seriously it is up to you. Some people out there call their babies names i wouldnt dream of yet when i have my own child, they'll probably wonder where i got the name from!

I want to use personal names to me for my kids middle names. Trial some names of your parents, grandparents or best friends that sound good.

Otherwise I have popped up with Madelyn Jane, or madelyn rose. something one syllable for the middle name seems to ring nicely.

I also like Maddy for short
