Of course! I have done that a whole bunch of times. I once put 50 dollars in the washer and it even got all ripped and i was able to use it. Because the dollar is made out of a type of fabric-like 'ingredient' it wont rip as easily or get torn into bits as quickly. So, before you throw it away....dont!!!! You can use it for sure!

By the way: If you want it to look like new, you should put it under your ironing machine thing right when it is starting to get warm, so that it doesnt burn up...or a hair straightener. {that works best}

Hope this helps!

Take it to your (or a) bank and ask them to trade it--I believe that they will. Remember, at the highest levels of the bank they deal directly with the Federal Reserve and the US Treasury. This certainly isn't the first time that something like this has happened--I feel certain that there is a solution to get poor quality currency out of circulation. In fact, now that I think about it, I believe the bank has this duty for the country. Think about it--how many $1 bills do you know that are over 10 years old?...Somebody's replacing them.

Under no circumstances use that money. If you try to pass it, the FBI will arrest you immediately and you will go to jail forever. Burn the evidence, and leave the country.
