I didn't vote for him but I do think he deserved to win it. Let's face it the all-star game is nothing but an exhibition game where the player who scores the most and has the flashest moves wins MVP. Which is why Kobe won it. I do think however that Amare played great and I actually did vote for him to win it.

I know sweetheart, there are alot of dummies out there that consider this a popularity contest. I mean the NBA had Kobe on TV the entire weekend. He was involved in three events that were televised (that I know of)
1)Skills challenge that D Wade won
2)A "Judge" on the dunk contest
3)The game itself
Enough is enough, when will people learn he is nothing without Shaq, and will remain so until he is on a team that has a solid playmaker. But that would also mean that he would have to share the ball (a.k.a. spotlight) with someone else.

Oh I don't know, maybe the people who actually watched the game and saw Kobe lead the West to victory. As oppossed to all you idiots who 1) don't know jack about basketball and 2) let your personal feelings for the man get in the way of how well he played on the court. Get a life losers.

well, needless to say, congrats kobe....for robbing STAT from his MVP trophy. amare had 29 points which is pretty amazing for a guy who comes back from microfracture surgery on his knee, he is a RESERVE, and he wasnt a ball hog. kobe was good with 31 but thats only two points more than wat amsre had. i mean, he did have 6 assists and rebounds but people only voted him because he could score a buncha points so the west could win but with out amare, they probably lost.

Amare should have gotten it.
He had 29 points, 9 boards with 63% FG. Kobe had 54% and shot like 3/9 from the arc.
This is the all-star game Kobe, not the Lakers. You have to pass the ball.

ohh thats funny Kobe is selfish... thats why his career points per game is 27.4 and he averages 6.3 assists per game... sorry he doesnt get 20 assists like Nash oh wait! Kobe isnt a point Guard he's a shooting Guard which means he scores... get off Kobe's dick for Christ's sakes and let the man play ball

That's the question that started running through my mind the second I saw him standing next to Stern.
Stoudemire certainly was far more deserving of it. As per usual though Bryant gets what he wants, whether he deserves it or not.

I don't like Kobe one single bit. He's beginning to be a ball hog. No wonder why the Lakers lost 5 straight.
