They had a bad game because the defense wasn't there at all. They didn't have a lot of intensity. They played like it was an All-Star game. The West who had lost the game the last two years was fired up and ready to play. Winning for them was more important than "having a good time". Unlike the East who tried numerous alley hoops and fancy stuff and turned the ball over. The bottom line is that the West came out to play with a purpose and the East did not.

Soccergal said it all they played no defense. If you remember last year the reason the east was able to come back and win was because of the four piston players coming into the game not only playing terrific offense but lock down defense. This year the eastern players didn't even try to play d. Plus they seemed way too concerned with trying to show up the west in dunks that they didn't play team offense.

Like usual both teams were just fooling around and playing bad defense however the West made a lot of early threes and alley-oops so when both teams decided to start playing, the East was already too far behind.

All Star Weekend is more like a vacation and a time for NBA players to socialize and just have fun.
I watched the whole thing. It was fun.
The critics are too serious.
They were in Vegas and did some partying and had fun.
Now they that they had a break, they will be able to come back on put on a show for us with each and every game they will be playing.
As far as the game went, it too was all in fun.

Coaching, the west had a definitive game plan were the east just went out and played.

Because they didnt keep a very good team in so the west lead had started to incresse and there coach even said that he wasent a good a nuff coach to be coaching a event this big!

basically cause iverson wasent playing on that team. he usually plays every year for the east and they stand a chance when he plays, and he didnt play so the result was a blow out

i don't think they really cared to much this year. just look at the skills competition when the faces of the NBA lolly-gagged through the course. you really can't blame them though because every time they step on the court their season or even career could be ended
