I got my period Dec. 3 and I have skipped two months. How can I tell when I will get it again? I don't want to be in public and unprepared. I am so confused. Also how do you count the days? I know I count 28 days but do you start on the day you get your period or the last day of your period???

It depends. Was the December period your first period? If so it'll take some time, maybe a year or two, before your period is on a normal schedule. Normal schedule differs for each woman. Its anywhere from 26-30 days (counting from the the day you start the month before). Keep some pads or tampons in your purse to be prepared in case it comes when you are out. If you are really scared of bleeding through your pants on accident then you could wear a pantyliner. Those aren't that uncomfortable and they would give you enough time to realize that you started your period again and get to a bathroom. If this isn't near the first time you've had your period and you've been sexually active then you need to take a pregnancy test.

Either way, you are overdue. I would take a pregnancy test unless you know you haven't had sex or are usually irregular as this. Take the test if you have had sex to be sure.
Count from the first day. Some women vary as to how many days they bleed also, so this is just an educaterd guess unless you are on some form of birth control to regulate it. I'm guessing you are NOT as you would be not asking this then.

well, your periods are obviously irregular. Always carry stuff with you, I always do and mine are like clockwork.

You'll also have to rely on other PMS symptoms - mood swings, cravings, sore breasts, change in discharge, etc.

You start counting your cycle on the first day of menstruation and it ends the day before your next menstruation starts.

If your body is anything like mine..I didn't have a period for a whole year one time...if they are often irregular...talk to your OB/GYN and she can get you hooked up with some Birthcontrol pills...they regulate you..and you really can time it out to the day.
