Not all beautiful women are mean, but I think it is because people let them get away with it. Haven't you ever heard a guy say..She's a total b**** but she's so damn hot so I don't care. They probably are mean to guys who turn them off. People who are attractive tend to be self absorbed and because they are so attractive people tend to treat them differently based on their looks. They are used to getting what they want and don't care about other people's feelings too much.

I'm not hugely beautiful, and I get harassed and stalked regularly by a bunch of losers with nothing better to do in their life than make women's lives a living nighmare.
I can imagine that truly beautiful women must get SO stalked, SO annoyed and chatted up with corny, pointless lines all day that they have to become mean to survive, to be able to cross the street.
Believe me, even a kind smile from the woman, given with the intention of being polite, will make the idiot (who thinks all women are just porn scripts waiting to happen to HIM, of all creeps, and therefore tries chat up lines at EVERY chance) think that the woman who is just probably trying to go buy something or have a walk, likes him a lot - and that means he won't get lost, he will come after her blabbering c rap thinking he's in for a chance, until she screams at him, be horrible, or call a cop.
So, even if you're cute and have the best intentions, a beautiful woman has been harassed to the point of being sick all day, and you won't make her happy or flattered by your attentions.
Ignoring her would be better.

We're not all mean. But we can be. We can also blow completely hot and cold. Be nice to u one time, then the next time we see u be completely rude. It's because we don't feel any need to impress u.
Best thing to do is not let the woman away with it. Seriously. I was really impressed the way my boyfriend stood up to me and didn't take it from me. We've been going out for a few years now.

Because we can get away with it! I know personally I've been fickle and sometimes even downright mean because i know that the guy will just come back for more, whatever I do. Less pretty girls just don't have that luxury.
It's also because that whenever a guy starts talking to me and i am nice back, even just to be polite, they get the wrong idea. I wish I had a sign that says 'I am being friendly. I do not want you to grope me now.'

Why strive after such an illusive dream. Time is the great equalizer and when you have your 6 figure job and she's lamenting her past beauty you can just laugh. Save yourself the heartache and find someone you can be yourself with instead of trying to live up to some false ideal.

Beautiful women get hit on all the time, every day.
Put yourself in their shoes and try to imagine how hard it is to cope with.
I mean, all the time, every day!!!!
So it's understandable that they get easily annoyed with guys and have a strategy to deal with them. Being 'mean' is very effective way to put men off and shut them up quickly.
Try not to be judgemental. Assume that behind every tough and nasty facade is a really lovely person who's not being mean to you, she's just trying to cope with life.

kenny oh kenny, beauty is in the eyes of the beholder, there is some lovely looking women out there but beauty is skin deep, all that glitters is,nt gold my friend. you are obviously trying too hard think more about what you want out of life , not what you see, take a chill pill kid all good things come to those who wait good luck
