I think i might wait for a bit and see how it goes here in the uk first. I need a new tv and want a true HD tv to support the PS3, no point buying the cart before the horse is there??
My Brother is in japan and said it mops the floor with the 360 plus its blu ray player is amazing.but there have been some bugs and glitches with it.hopefully there will be ironed out before it hits us but i wouldnt hold my breath.
As fdor anyone who even mentions the 360 in the same league as the ps3 needs their head tested, the spec is no-where near as good and to build up your 360 to be anywhere near as good as a ps3 would cost in the region of 850 notes!! i kid you not..
Only down side is THERE WONT BE A PRICE REDUCTION FOR AT LEAST 12 MONTHS IF THERES ANY AT ALL. Why? Because Sony are selling the ps3 at a massive loss (believed to be in the region of $200 per console) to re-coup their loss in the long term by pushing blu ray. A stand alone Blu-ray Dvd player is approx £450 to buy now.. Another big point is the HD-DVD vs Blu ray fight, someone somewhere is going to be buying the Betamax:) Will be interesting to see, but blu ray has the backing of all the big film companies so in theory it should win through. But all we can do is wait and see.

i cant wait but i cant afford it straight away so gonna wait until the price comes down by at least £100. i did the same when i got my PS2 plus by then at least 25% of the games were worth having and the second hand game market had had chance to catch up. I'm assuming the same will hold true for the PS3?

This is "all English language Answers" that you are on, so for some people, it's already out.
I'm getting one as soon as the new GTA comes out on it in the autumn.
Don't care how much it costs, don't care how much the games cost.
It will be worth every penny on my HDTV. Sony will be releasing a lot of Blu-Ray films by that time, and that will be just wicked too.

I think I will buy one in April time , I love some of the games eg . The Final Fantasy's and Resident Evil games , Also Grand Tourismo.
I have a Top Range PC and You don't get the above games on it so that's why i wont one,

Well it already came out in North America I don't know where you are on the release date. The system alone costs alot and if you do get one, the games are expensive so just don't get your hopes up.

Not me. I bought an xbox 360 because Sony just took to long. It's far too expensive. I don't care about blu-ray either. This console is TOO expensive.

B. Sony game system have sucked sence PS2. The PS1 wasn't bad.
