I briefly in college took a semester of judo (I was awful). Later I took a few months of karate instruction. I sucked at that too. It was like 35 years ago.
I am a 61 year old male.
Now I just tell people who threaten me that I am wearing boxer shorts, and I know how to use them! (:

Still in trainning in Tae kwon Do and I am in a brown and one stripe belt.
