How was Lucy Punch's character on CBS's "The Class" written out?

According to many sorces, Punch's character, Holly, was "cleverly written out", but I must have not seen that episode. I saw how Fern said she was going to get Holly, but I believe that was the last time I saw her. What happened?

I haven't heard any of them mention her for a few weeks and didn't notice she was actually gone until last week when they were showing the kids standing on the steps then them growing up. Holly's TV husband was on last week and he was talking about Valentines Day and he mentioned Holly but again it wasn't mentioned she was no longer around. (I have yet to hear anything but I did read on the internet that she had difference with the director and writes at the direction her character was going so she left.) It's ashame because I just thought she was hysterical and I loved the interaction between her and her STRAIGHT (NOT) husband. I'm not sure if they will recast or just have her gone and talk about her. I really love this show so I hope it can adapt without her.
