temperature about top 30's to low 40's in the day and high 20's at night.
you will need to be in an airconditioned hotel/apartment.
mosquitos, not too bad in any of the places i have been in august this includes luxor aswan sharm and cairo there are some mostly around dusk but they tend to disappear after dark unless you go out into the fields, but i would take something to put on any bites you do get as they do itch,
I have never seen a beetle yet and i been lots of times also never seen a snake or a scorpion. in fact i have only ever seen feral cats and dogs and little lizards.and sone beautiful birds.
no your worst problem is the heat and if you can stand that then you can stand egypt, ohh and watch your money they will scam you for every penny they can get. have a good time.

August and September and October is the prime tourist season. So expect the sites such as The Pyramids and the temples and tombs all over Egypt to be packed.
In August the weather is still very hot,in the mid to high 30's in Cairo and getting hotter the further south you travel.
In Luxor and Aswan temperatures of around 40c are usual during the day.The nights are also quite warm.
You will find that in these months, most Egyptians rise very early and then sleep in the afternoon.
After dark everyone comes out, and the streets and parks etc. are alive with families until well after midnight.
Many shops and business also close during the afternoons, then reopen in the evenings.
If you can possibly afford it and aren't doing Egypt on a "shoe string". Then make sure your room has airconditioning and a shower.
You will be so glad you paid the extra $10 or so.
Remember, you will need to drink lots of bottled water, take an insulated water bottle with you.Stick to bottled water with a low magnesium level, to avoid tummy problems. These are no fun on a holiday.
Especially on a tour were you have no alternative than keep moving.
Take a hat ,good sunglasses and stick to loose easy to care for clothes. Either pure cotton or a high percentage of cotton.
Egypt in summer is no place to wear synthetics.
If you are very fair and require above Factor 8 sunscreen, take some as it is hard to get in Egypt.
It is a good idea to get up as early as possible to do your sightseeing.
Especially visiting sites such as Giza,Saqqara,The Citidel and Karnak and The Valley of the Kings.
A start of around 5.30 am is ideal.
It is a good idea to get to the museum in Cairo as early as you can,to avoid the worst of the crowds that pack it every day of the year, also because it is not airconditioned. As you can imagine it does not take long until the inside temperature is almost as high as outside. The only section with a/c is the Tutankamun exibition.
This way you avoid the hottest part of the day and the tour coaches that arrive about 8-10 am.
As for beetles,I dont think I have noticed any nor spiders.
But you will find mosquitos in certain parts especially at an oasis also in the lush vedgetation belt along the Nile.
But they only come out in the coolest part of the night and are not such a big deal.
You just need a rollon or spray repellant. You can by these in Egypt cheaper than at home.
It really will depend where you are and where you stay. The risk of malaria is very, very minimal.

Hey! No need for worries lol, if your worried bring that mosquito spray thing that keeps them away..the temperature in August is like 30 degrees - 40+ degrees..when you sleep make sure the air conditioning is on, so that you can cover yourself with a blanket..I stayed in a hotel and I think we forgot to turn on the air conditiong so that night i couldn't sleep with the blanket on me and when i woke up...i had like 50 bites! That was just random though, Most places you go too, I'm 100% sure you won't get bitten Lol, I'm not trying to scare you, just follow these 3 simple rules to beat being biten:
Turn the air conditiong on at night..ALWAYS
This is optional..put on mosquito spray
And finally cover yourself with a blanket!
There is no need 2 worry about beetles..I have never seen a beetle in Egypt!
I hope i helped and have a nice time in Egypt which I'm sure you will do!
Oh yea and take sun cream and a hat with you when you're going otherwise your gonna get burnt!
God bless and again, I wish you a joyful time in Egypt..
