Buy the Poet's Market 2007. It is a 25 dollar book that has over a thousand calls for poetry from all different publications. It describes specifically what each magazine is looking for, and whether they are accepting submissions from unpublished poets.

Also poetry.com is a scam. there are many websites attesting to this. Here are some links to a few:

Really, you can't. In today's market, the genre' of poetry is all but done for. The poster who told you Writer's Market lists a bunch of publishers is right, the book lists publishers but no one is publishing poetry. WM always lists a bunch of companies that don't want to be in their book (and the companies have asked WM not to do this), but WM persists in doing so. Believe me, no one is publishing poetry because basically there is no market for it. Poetry is something you write for your own enjoyment. No publisher handles it and if you send a bunch of your poems into one listed in WM, you will get them returned to you. Any web site that is doing this is going to want money to place your work on their forum, as they are all vanity publishing, and they take every bit of work submitted to them and call it publishing. They are not at all discerning. This is not real publishing. It's printing perhaps, but not publishing. Think about it. How many books of poetry do you see in the bookstores these days, unless they are the classics by people like Emily Dickinson, or similar. Really, just write poetry for your own enjoyment and forget publishing it. I don't care what anyone here tells you, it's a thing of the past (at least where the actual publishing world is concerned).

Try Poetry.com. If they decide to publish your poem(s), they'll send you a couple papers assuring the spelling of your name.. Just send them back and they'll publish it amoung other poets. If you want to publish a whole book of your own poetry this isn't the place for you. Also they have quite a few contests... Hope that helps =]
