I am unsure of what art movement we are in now. I'm just curious, though, since I've never taken an art history class.

We rarely get to name our own current movements because we can't see which threads will be dominant later. My friends and I joke that we're in Neo-Modernism, since it's really Post-post modernism (we haven't abandoned these ideas, just progressed past them)- But at the same time, we're still very much in the modern era. Why don't you come up with a clever one? All it takes is a large group using it as a catch-phrase, and Voila: New Movement (Like the Beats).

It's not about time. It's about genre and intellectual direction.

We are not in the "Jazz" movement in music.
