It would have been impossible for them to have a child previously to sinning, because it is their punishment for eating the fruit from the tree of knowledge (which was NOT an apple, no matter what we say now!) that Eve suffer in childbirth, and that they populate the earth. Their punishment was passed on to all future generations, so if they had had a son before they fell, he would have been punished as well, for the sins of his parents. If, by some fluke, he hadn't been punished, then he would still live in the garden of Eden, and have no access to humanity because of his perfection. He would not be a vampire or anything like that, because vampires take lives, which is one of the major sins.
Although Adam and Eve DID have sex before they were kicked out of the garden, because they were basically living by instinct, they felt no shame in being naked, so presumably they just did not ovulate/produce sperm until after the Fall. The major problem with the story of Adam and Eve, however, is their production solely of three sons; how would those sons have reproduced when there were no women to bear their children?

Sex didn't exist before sin. It was technically a part of the curse against Eve. But it is an interesting fantasy. I don't think the child would still be alive because Adam and Eve aren't and the bible says that children are punished for their parents sins so the child would also be punished for any sins committed by Adam and Eve. So even if they were to have a child before the serpent offered the apple the outcome for their children would have been the same.

The Judeo/Christian tradition has come to consider sex as sinful, but hypothetically, had they had remained perfectly obedient to Yahweh in the myth, and sexual relations had entered the picture (I'm assuming they that they were created with, and weren't suddenly endowed with, functioning sex organs immediately after they had sinned), then the child would be without sin, as well, and Eve would have born them without pain. And since death in the story is a consequence of sin, then as long as they remained obedient, then they would still be alive, or so the story goes...

That's got to be the stupidest idea for a vampire book I've ever heard. Why would a child born without sin be a vampire?
I think it's more likely that such a child would have grown up to be a man without carnal lust. You might have him as a fatherly figure who befriends people in trouble. The catch would be he refuses to use violence and simply can't be lured into a sexual relationship.

It would make a great plot for a B grade movie you're right. However they didn't know about all that sex stuff and shenanigans before they sinned...maybe if it were emaculate conception by one of the angels...now that would make a great 'C' grade movie:-)

Well, Eve wouldn't feel any pain. But it's not like Adam and Eve knew how to have sex because they didn't eat the fruit of knowledge.

It could be like a sweet Highlander knock-off, I love it!!
What do you suppose their child's name would have been? I bet it would have been Dwayne. And I base that on absolutely nothing.
