I am a sales rep that meets with clients. If the black blazer and black dress pants match, does it make a difference?

The only difference I can think of is if the cut/style is different. I was also going to say the whole brownish black vs bluish black spiel, but you said they match. I'd say if you can't tell a difference, chances are other people won't either.

I understand, suits are pricey, but they can be broken down to maximize there use, i.e. the blazer with jeans, the suit pants with a top and tie not blazer. The one and only problem you would face will be it cut, material, finish. Even wool blends that are the same shades might have a slightly different finish to it, the pants more shiny, the blazer more of a matte finish, or visa versa. If you are sue they match, then you should be ok. Another solution is to buy in the suit/suit separates department. that way you can buy pieces that can be worn together as a suit, but not for the full suit price! Good luck, hope this helps!

It depends. If the materials in the jacket and pants are different, they can look different colors in different lights. Plus the cuts and stitching will be more uniform with a suit.
