The goals set by Canada Revenue Agency are:
4 weeks for paper returns
2 weeks for Telephile/Efile/Netfile returns
The refund will be a few days quicker if you indicated that you wanted it direct deposited and provided your bank information.
Cheers.

Usually takes 4-6 weeks by mail. Other ways like e-file are quicker. If you did direct depoist section, I will be quicker. If they need to send you a cheque it might take a bit longer. If you want to know if they have started or received your taxes, you can call Revenue Canada. Give it a least 2 weeks to get there.

I dont understand how lots of a distinction there is between the U. S. and Canada with taxes. I did my taxes a pair days in the past and that they instructed me it could take approximately 3-4 weeks...you are able to attempt the internet internet site for CRA....in the U. S. its referred to as IRS and you will pass on their internet site and it assist you to understand the present status of your return and it delivers a date it could be won.

depends on where you filed them, like H&R block you can get your return the same day, if you sent them right to canada revenue then it could take upto 6-8 weeks...most people opt for H&R they charge a small fee but if your in a pinch it worth it..

That is a very interesting question. You might try www.wikipedia.com to search for the answer, if you can't find it here.
