If you are looking to build your own RC cars I would start with an electric Tamiya kit. They have the best instructions around with both words and pictures. My first RC car was a Tamiya kit 6 years ago and I have built 20 more since then. I will not buy any other manufacture of kits. Plus the kits are fairly cheap ranging from $100 (older basic kits) - $400 (pro racing kits). Usually with kits you will need to buy a radio/receiver and battery pack, sometimes a motor and speed control as well. But for the radio/receiver the cheap Futaba radios work great for first time drivers. I love the hobby and I hope you do too.

RC vehicles do have dissimilar diverse sounds in order that that you understand. yet when your vehicle has advanced a sparkling sound after replacing the pump it for sure has to do with the belt, pump or fan. i'd first inspect the belt stress, you try this through putting a ruler over 2 pulleys and then degree the deflection of the belt once you push on it. you need to also examine and make certain that the fan isn't hitting the shroud.
