102 divided by 3. so 68 were sold the second day, while 34 were sold on the first day.

You do 102 divided by 3 which is, 34 so you add 34 and 34 for the second days sales so you have 34 left over. Hope it helped even though everyone had the answer :)

You work it out like this: the second day by selling twice as many as the first, makes it really three days sales. One third on the first and two thirds on the second. One third of 102 is 34, the second day they sold 68 giving a total of 102.................

102 = 2x + 1x
102 = 3x
102/3 = 3x/3
34 = x or x = 34
34 albums were sold on the first day. (68 albums were sold on the second day.)

3X = 102
X=34
2X = 68
68+34 = 102
So first day 34 sold, 2nd day 68 sold.
