For the past several months I have been having bouts of naseau and vomitting 2 to 3 times every couple of weeks. My doctor has told me that it is just acid reflux and I have been on Prevacid and then Nexium. However, this is not helping me. The doctor says that he does not feel I have a problem with my galbladder or appendix because I am not having pain in my abdomen. Just the constant naseau and vomitting are the only symptoms I have. We have also tested for pregnancy and that came up negative. Has anyone else experienced this constant naseauated feeling accompanyed with vomitting and if so, did you figure out what the problem was?

P.S. Hangovers do not count. I am pretty positive I know the difference, plus I am not a big drinker.

Anxiety can also be a cause. If you have a lot of stress, or you are especially upset or nervous about something, it truly can cause this stuff. I know that my anxiety makes me sick at least once a month! Nauseated much more often than that. Sometimes sick to my stomach more than that, it depends on the stress. So if all the other factors are ruled out, then my guess would be stress/anxiety. Learn some breathing exercises and learn to calm yourself down a bit just as the nausea comes on, and see if you can 'calm down enough' not puke. I would definitely get things ruled out by the doctor first, or check into some natural remedies for nausea/vomiting. Good Luck!

actually I get that way every so often and it will last for a month at a time, but then I've always had a very sensitive stomach, and my sense of smell is very sensitive too. Nobody has ever been able to figure me out either. I find that protien snacks help me some and I try to stay away from things that I know will make me nauseous. Hang in there, hopefully it will pass soon.

Are you nervouse or under a lot of stress? Do you feel like this when you think of something or someone? It could be a conditioned response. That means that you have paired something negative in your life and everytime you come across that or think about it you feel nausiated. I have an at home remedy, when I feel like that I smell lemons cut in half.

Why not ask your doctor to send you to a specialist to be on the safe side. What if something is wrong in your stomach and you are just not having any pain? I would ask the doctor anyways to see a specialist. I hope you feel better soon.

Could it be something you are eating? I started having allergic reactions and could not figure out what it was since I was not eating or taking any out of the normal. Turns out my body just all of a sudden decided to be allergic to Motrin. Did not find out until the hospital gave me a large dose after I had my daughter and almost killed me. I guess that was what it was all along.

I treated my acid reflux very effectively with orange peel extract. Read up on it here:

yes it could be gallbladder.... pain is not always present...
you need to see a digestive specialist and have him run diagnostic test to ferret out what's going on.
