I would stay away from store douches if youre still wanting to douche I would suggest a water and white vinegar (just a few tablespoons of vinegar) douche (yuck it smells like vinegar) but if youre really wanting to douche it is the only way to go, it wont mess with your body's ph and it wont make you itchy and sore like a lot of the irratating commercial ones will. You probably really don't need to douche but if you choose to try the vinegar/water recipie.

Douching is not harmful if you use the right kind of liquid. You can buy the prepackaged douches (Summer's Eve Douche) and it will be fine. Or a home douche is good too. My doctor told me to use one cup of water with two tablespoons of regular WHITE vinegar (it helps with smells). But the down side to douching is really bad yeast infections!!!! I got them so bad I had to see a doctor! Take it from personal experience...but if you just do it like once or twice a month it should be fine!!

It will change the ph of your vagina and in some woman contribute to yeast infections. According to any doctor douching is not healthy for the vaginal conditions for these reasons.
Douching ONCE in awhile is not going to hurt. However, I would suggest using a mild vinegar and water solution. They make these in the disposable douches. NO FRAGRANT douches!!!

We don't (or shouldn't) use douches anymore. They are unnecessary and dangerous. The vagina is self-cleaning and, under normal circumstances, does not require that we stick anything in there. Douching is associated with an increased risk of pelvic inflammatory disease (an infection with chlamydia or gonorrhea which can lead to infertility), bacterial vaginal infections, and ectopic pregnancy (a pregnancy which implants outside of the uterus, usually in the fallopian tubes). I strongly discourage the use of douches.

using one too often is bad, because it messes with the PH balance down below, but once in awhile it is nice to get cleaned out. Of course think about this you are pumping liquid up through your plumbing pushing everything back in so it isn't really cleaning you all that much. It's best to just let nature take it's course for the most part.

you need to by no ability douche. It upsets the organic flowers of your vagina and makes you susceptible to dermis inflammation, hypersensitive reactions, and micro organism and yeast overgrowth that would reason yeast infections and bacterial vaginosis. The vagina is a self-cleansing shape. you do no longer ought to introduce soaps, douches, gels or creams to scrub it. there's a geared up-in domicile initiatives provider. once you're apprehensive approximately smell 'down there' attempt changing your weight loss software and wearing cotton panties and looser pants.

As long as you're not attempting to use it as a form of birth control, to wash out the sperm, you're fine. Don't do it too often, though, or it will mess with the PH balance.
If you're thinking of using it as a form of birth control, DON'T. Douching can actually push the sperm further in, which is the exact opposite effect of what you want.

Why do you want to douche?
Most women never need to douche. Soap and water is sufficient.
Too much douching upsets the vagina's natural balance.

douching is not that serious, but it will sometimes dry you out depending on the kind you use. Your body has norma flora which acts as a douche already in your body. I would only do it if it is absolutely necessary.

Nope nothing at all. They are safe. Just don't do it too often because it could affect the ph balance inside of you. Other than that nothing bad can happen. Get the ones from Walmart with vinegar.
