In playgroup it was a guy called Jamie.
In primary school it was a girl called Katie.
I'm still good friends with both of them and proud of that. Even though we've obviously changed over the years and wouldn't be compatible as best friends now I'm glad we're still good mates.
In secondary i had 2, a girl called Adele and a boy called Will. To this day they still are!

My best friend from elemantary school and I lost touch when I moved to U.S in 1993. We've only got back in touch very recently (by coincidence it was right before my marriage! So I invited her!). It was really nice to see each other again. However, it was a little sad as well since we used to be very close but because we've lived completely different lives it's obviously no longer the same.
Unfortunately, I've lost touch completely with my best friend from high school (even if we live in the same country). I tried to regain contact with her as well, but there has been completely no response until her email just suddenly died. It's actually my fault that I've lost touch with her in the first place, since I'm HORRIBLE at responding to emails, and now I regret it.

Yes, Fiona, did lose touch when I moved, then she moved I think. Finally got in touch again about 2 -3 years ago, don't have regular contact but do Xmas cards now and the odd text to keep in touch.
And Karen, more friends as we left school, I moved away but keep in touch constantly to the point both our oldest son's are great friends too.
Dundee to Wirral not that far really!

i had two, instead of one. one was a guy named anton andre who originally hailed from liverpool, the other being a black kid named andrew weekes. i've known them since i was 7, 8 at primary school, so that makes it roughly 19 years; i am 26 now. it was fun being the only girl in the group of males and hanging out with anton and andrew and a few other male friends back at primary schoolwhen i was in high school though andrew went to a different high school, whilst anton attended the same one as mine but we weren't in the same class. although i had lost touch with anton when i and my family have to move into a new house 10 years ago. though it wasn't until 3 years ago that i caught up with anton and saw him taking a ciggie break! he called out my name and i turned around and was shocked to see him again. the only things which were different about him was he had a moustache, had a tattoo on one of his arms and he was wearing glasses, otherwise, he's still the same person as he was but he is also more maturer and smarter as well. i'd never thought for one moment that i'd ever see him or my other ex school mates ever again. and yet strange things happen out of the blue. as for andrew, i saw him a few weeks before xmas last year in december. it was great to see him again, particularly as he was the joker of the pack and always had fun, and he sounds more articulate than, since i'd known him as a kid. i still see anton and andrew occasionally when i can, seeing as we're all so busy with other things. anton's working, andrew's at university and i'm at university, although we don't attend the same uni, nor undertake the same course as each other

My best friend in school was Joella. We lost touch for a long time but I wrote her a letter recently and she answered it. It was fun to re-connect after twenty five years!
