If the rock never started wrestling then he could of not been a movie star.

I agree ^ his wrestling career gave him a jump-start and gave him the opportunity to be an actor. He did a great job at both though! He was really popular as a wrestler and is just as popular as an actor. He's got talent. A lot of celebrities try to do several things, it keeps them from getting bored and offers them multiple opportunities for staying rich!

The Rock didn't start out in wrestling.His dad did not want him in the business but he could not make it in football. so when he failed at the CFL(Canadien Footbaall League), he decided to try wrestling, after all it is in his blood. So he was a great wrestler and a good action actor

Actually the Rock accidentally stumbled into acting....his grandfather was the great Chief Peter Maivia (hall of fame wrestler), his grandmother Princess Maivia (was the promoter for the AWA), his father (Rocky Johnson) was the AWA world's heavyweight champion, and his dad and dad's brother held the AWA tag team championship belts for over 3 years....Pro wrestling was in his blood!!!!

Wrestling is his family's legacy. Both his father and grandfather were legendary wrestlers in their time. In fact, he took his name "THE ROCK" from his father Rocky. To say that he shouldn't have been in wrestling is like saying he shouldn't have been born into his family.

i think its the other way around, i don't think he should of started doing movies, i mean the guy was like hogan was in the '80s. the rock was the face of the wwe and the guy just got up and turned his back on the company
