vintage is just a pretty sounding way of saying second hand. i love charity shops. they make me happy. they make my purse sing and dance with joy. they make beer easier to afford.
ps. why do my charity shops never have nice topshop jeans in? i get lovely sarongs and kaftahns tho

It really depends if you have the money to buy £40 jeans or an £80 bikini. Whenever I go into a charity shop, I always wonder if the stuff that is being sold has been worn before. If I do see something that looks kl, I buy it, take it home and wash it 2 times.

I'd say it's the same, since second hand stuff is second hand no matter where you get it from, but I rather buy from a charity shop. You see what you're getting before you buy it and can make sure it fits, with the plus side that you know money will help others.

You can get cool stuff from charity shops and theres nothing wrong with it. A friend of mine moved the other month and took loads of great stuff and best of all she bumped in to kate moss. Well if she donates it all the better whats good for celebritys good enough for me. Charity shops kept my son in clothes from newborn to 5 years clothes are dead expensive for kids that wear it once or twice and grow so quick.

Not at all. If the clothes you're buying are in good nick and are something you like, why not?
Its an advantage to buy something you want for a lower price than you would have had to originally.
Charity shops want your money for a good reason too. This should encourage you even more.
Kthnx.

not gross. i got a great pair of shoes for when i worked in a bar and even managed to find a really nice summer dress. the shops tend to wash most of the stuff when they get it in so i say go for it.
oh and apparantly the charity shops in chesire are best for designer gear.
