They would give you a source of light but comparing to a flash light that uses electricity it would not be so good for the reasons already given.

Yes, I have. Lighting bugs are like the only bugs I would ever even go near, because I thought that they were just the shiit. Haha. And then I used to take them and smear them on the sidewalk and then the sidewalk glows for a couple seconds...baha. I was evil to lighting bugs...muahaha. :D *Looks up at Jordy*...Haha...I guess you would have hated me then. Muahaha, but it was so fun! :)

Not really, they die out before you can get enough lightning bug power.
