Turning 18 DOES NOT mean your are an adult. Being an adult is a state of mind; not an age.

The "little kid" cutoff is much earlier than that. I call anyone who acts like an adult an adult. I know a 16 year old who's way more mature than me, and plenty of 40-something's who haven't got their sh*t together (although I still wouldn't refer to them as "little kids").
