If you have only Platys in your main tank, the fry will be safe with them. Platys do not eat their young like other live bearers do.

Yep as nunya said it depends on the space and the food. You can "cheat" and give the illusion of more space by going large ner daily water changes. 50% every other day would not be too much. You can encourage fast growth by that as well as feeding quality foods several times a day and keeping the tank warm.

It all depends on how much room they have, how often you feed them and how good the food is that you feed them. Obviously if they have more room and are fed a high quality food they will grow faster then ones with little room and are fed cheap food.

it is going to take a rapid jointly as satisfied you place it in a separate tank the others will kill it. I made that mistake the others killed ever infant I had. the rationalization dumb me became into cleansing tank and that i took toddlers out then positioned them lower back in. nicely that became right into a huge mistake.
