If not Federer, then who?

Looks like Federer is on fire and is almost unbeatable on a hard court, grass too. But don't forget how different the clay is for an agressive player like Federer. Not that he can't defend well also, but if he gets dragged into enough long points with the oodles and oodles of clay court players that are going to be looking to knock him off, he is going to have to grind through many matches. This is where Nadal has had the edge. He wipes away most clay courters with otherworldly spin and speed and they give up early in the match. Federer will be lucky to have 1/2 the easy matches vs. CLAY COURTERS as will Nadal. Come the finals of Monte Carlo I say Federer already to worn to top Nadal. By the time the French Final, if we see the rematch again, a fairly solid win for Nadal there too.

I think Federer has a better chance of winning the French than Nadal winning Wimbledon.

Yes he will. Its not like he cannot play on clay. It is his least favourite surface, but he consistently wins Masters Series events on clay ( Hamburg or Italy ) as a leadup to the French Open.

I think that this year Nadal is a little more vulnerable, and Federer is no longer is intimidated by Nadal not being scared or in awe of him. He has beaten him enough times recently to know what it takes to beat him, and he has also seen other players beat ( or trouble ) him and he is smart enough to know how they did it.

This is the year that Federer wins the French Open.

I think Federer might, but Nadal also has the French Open in the bag.

i think nadal has a very high chance of winning the french open, remember he beat federer before twice already, and nadal also fights till the very END, unlike some other tennis players.
federer might win though, altho personally im going for nadal ;)

I think it will once again come to a showdown between Nadal and Federer, but Nadal will triumph, again.

he most definatly will...the way hes playing right now is unbelievable and watching nadal at the australian is showing that he is slowing down...nadals game style is so tuff on his body im amazed he hasnt fallen apart...but it seems he might fall apart soon..so i say fed is set to win all four slams this year...

he probably will because he has been playing so well this year, winning the australian and all, but if he does i think his head might explode, i think someone or something needs to bring him down to earth
but then again- it must be working because he's playing awesome and setting so many records!
